The informational foundation is ready. Permit-level records remain private until reliability, privacy, and correction gates pass.
Why preserve it
Government portals show today. History needs its own ledger.
Permit data is fragmented across local systems, revised on different schedules, and difficult to compare. Permit Archive is designed to preserve reviewed snapshots with the official source, capture time, and content hash attached.
The eventual product will make coverage and limitations visible so users can inspect the source instead of trusting an unexplained score.
Designed for verification
A record you can trace backward.
Corrections preserved
A correction creates a new snapshot linked to the prior one. It does not silently rewrite the archive.
People-search fields denied
Personal emails, phone numbers, homeowner names, and contractor home addresses are rejected before durable storage.

Public record pages, search, API access, rankings, alerts, and payments remain disabled. The next release depends on an unattended reliability gate and a reviewed privacy-and-corrections process.
